Smile

by Nat King Cole
Words by john turner and geoffrey parsons and music by charlie chaplin

Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though it’s breaking
When there are clouds in the sky, you’ll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You’ll see the sun come shining through for you

Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That’s the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what’s the use of crying?
You’ll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

That’s the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what’s the use of crying?
You’ll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

This Train Don't Stop There Anymore

Elton John

You may not believe it
But I don't believe in miracles anymore
And when I think about it

I don't believe I ever did for sure
All the things I've said in songs
All the purple prose you bought from me
Reality's just black and white
The sentimental things I'd write
Never meant that much to me

Chorus
I used to be the main express
All steam and whistles heading west
Picking up my pain from door to door
Riding on the storyline
Furnace burning overtime
But this train don't stop,
This train don't stop,
This train don't stop there anymore

You don't need to hear it
But I'm dried up and sick to death of love

If you need to know it
I never really understood that stuff
All the stars and bleeding hearts
All the tears that welled up in my eyes
Never meant a thing to me
Read 'em as they say and weep
I've never felt enough to cry

(chorus)

When I said that I don't care
It really means my engine's breaking down
The chisel chips my heart again
The granite cracks beneath my skin
I crumble into pieces on the ground

(chorus)

The show must end...

by bOtOi

When did we stop talking?
When did we stop caring?
I can't seem to find the [play] button

Why do we have to avoid each other?
Why do we have to continue hurting each other?
I can't seem to find the [stop] button

What I miss are those days of conversation...
What I miss are those times of sharing...
I can't seem to find the [rewind] button

Who chose to leave the other person out?
Who chose to speak out and got tired of trying?
I think I have found the [eject] button

Just [pause] for a second
Just remember the show
Just cherish the moments

.....no standing ovation
.....no oscar nomination
.....no red carpet or hall of fame

Before the ending grieves us
Before I push the button
Before it's shattered into pieces...

两个人的寂寞 (Liang Ge Ren De Ji Mo)

Loneliness of Two

Elva Hsiao

It's Just Goodbye

Lea Salonga
C. Weil/J. Gruska

The sweetest songs fade to echoes in the wind
The best of times must end, so a new day can begin
And the dreams we dream that seem so real at night
Must meet the morning light and vanish from our sight

Time was never our friend
We walked the road together
and we came to the end
It's just good-bye

A recursive definition of emptiness

Author: Chirag Mehta, 17 Nov. 2003.

Emptiness is...

when no song tells your story.
when there is no story to tell someone.
when there is no one to hear.
when being heard makes no difference.
when different is still the same everyday.
when everyday is a continuous sleepless night.
when the sleepless transcend into day dreams.
when day dreams become distant melodies.
when melodies become discrete solitary tones.
when solitude is abhorred yet welcome.
when welcome is but a word on doormats.
when doormats neglect their greeting.
when greetings are but songs on holiday nights.
when no song tells your story...
