What is Love?

Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.

When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.

Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day.

You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.

When you love someone, you will tend to see everything is perfect in him/her even though in fact you know that he/she isn't perfect at all.Well, sad to say, but no one is perfect right?

Love without understanding and trust will only turn into broken love.

People like saying "I Love You" without knowing the meaning, is not LOVE.

Love is when you know a person well, and accept the fact of who he/she is, feels comfortable around one another, enjoy each other companion, in the mode of smiling most of the time.

Love need not to be said out, but to be felt by one's action.

Love is whenever you read something about love, the only person you think of is only him/her.

Love is when you wake up in the morning, the person's face just appear out of nowhere.

Henry David Thoreau

Every generation laughs at the old fashions, but follows religiously the new.

That government is best which governs the least, because its people discipline themselves.

If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.

Rather than love, than money, than fame, give me truth.

Henry David Thoreau on Friends

The most I can do for my friend is simply to be his friend. I have no wealth to bestow on him. If he knows that I am happy in loving him, he will want no other reward. Is not friendship divine in this?

Henry David Thoreau on Enthusiasm

None are so old as those who have outlived enthusiasm.

Henry David Thoreau on Life

This life is not for complaint, but for satisfaction.

That man is richest whose pleasures are cheapest.

Wealth is the ability to fully experience life.

Most of the luxuries, and many of the so-called comforts of life, are not only indispensable, but positive hindrances to the elevation of mankind.

Henry David Thoreau on Seeing and Words

The question is not what you look at, but what you see.

In human intercourse the tragedy begins, not when there is misunderstanding about words, but when silence is not understood.

The eye is the jewel of the body.

Henry David Thoreau on Dreams and Imaginations

Dreams are the touchstones of our characters.

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined.

This world is but a canvas to our imaginations.

If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he had imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.
